Bit O Luck and Shal Mar have been producing quality Manchesters for well over twenty years - their winning records throughout these many years speak for themselves and with their blessings, I am pleased to have been able to bring their two lines together with this breeding.
Capri is out of our April 2006 litter (note sire and dam listed above). She comes from what we call an 'outcross' breeding, meaning neither the sire nor dam share common ancestory in their pedigree. It is not too common for breeders to do an outcross but due to the quality of her sire and dam and the quality lines they are from, we knew we had to do it and I am more than pleased with the litter this mating produced!
Capri has a beautiful long, clean wedge shaped headpiece - as called for in the AKC Standard of Perfection. Although she has a bit rounder eye than preferred, her alert keen expression adds to her beauty, as well as, her personality. She is on the small side for a standard bitch but Capri is a lot of dog in a 'little' package. Capri will be back out in the show ring in the Midwest during the summer of 2010 after getting a bit more maturity on her.
Her second weekend out, Capri takes Reserve Winner's Bitch to a major on day three of this cluster weekend (Des Moines and Cyclone Country Kennel Club shows) held in Des Moines, Iowa September 8-10, 2007. (Entry Saturday/Sunday - District 5 Specialty and Supported Entry Shows - 1-6-0-0. Entry Monday - 1-5-1-0). A GREAT time with GREAT Competition!
