Cooper is from the same litter (bred in April 2006) as my Capri. He was placed with a family I had been visiting with at great length for some time and felt comfortable placing him with them....or so I thought. They neglected to tell me their youngest daughter was severe ADHD. I did not find this out for 3 years as they'd send photos of the kids playing with Cooper and the parents and kids loving him up. That third year I received a phone call asking if they could place him with a different family with young children and of course, I asked why. I did thank them for contacting me first, as his breeder, since that is what my contract stated. I was told Cooper had bitten their youngest girl on her cheek after she had been teasing him profusely and the wound had to be sutured with several stitches. I immediately told the gal, he HAD to be returned to me, as his breeder, as he could not be placed with anyone else, let alone anyone with young children for obvious reasons - long story short, Cooper came home. Since his AKC registration paperwork had never been sent in, I decided I would do so and registered him as: "WhirlWynd's Return to Paradise" because I do feel Cooper felt he was now truly living in paradise and living out the remainder of his life with me and the rest of WhirlWynd's manchesters. |
